Coed-y-Mwstwr resumes their competitions
After work being completed on construction of the new extension to the clubhouse, members at Coed-y-Mwstwr have returned to competitive golf.
Eleven teams participated in the Senior Ladies Invite competition and the club's fab four', who had a better ball score of 80, took the prizes. They were Rob Ashman, Janet McCann, Bernie Ford and Brian Rule.
In the February Medal, young Morgan Davies, playing off a handicap of 22, won with a nett 61. In the Winter Eclectic after four of the five qualifying rounds Mark Phillips has a clear lead with a nett 58. Hot on his heels, however, are Les Seaton and Gareth Summerton.
All competition scores will be transferred to an order of merit table' for the club's annual Ryder Cup which tees off on the 23 and 24 of August. Teams representing Wales and The Rest of the World will battle it out over two days for this year's bragging rights. Wales are the holders and this year's Welsh Team Captain, Phil Davies, is confident of another strong performance.
