 | The Golf Union of Wales Radyr Cup | | 10:38am Thu 26 Jun 08 | | Margaret Wood, on behalf of the Golf Union of Wales organised this year's Radyr Cup. It was held on a very sunny but windy day in early May and, in all seventy-two ladies, representing fourteen different clubs from across South Wales, participated in the event. The Radyr course was in superb condition but many of the players found the greens very tricky. Consequently, this resulted in some high scores being returned, thus making the event a reduction only' competition. |

Competitors arrived from far and wide with many of the visitors going home with prizes. The star of the day, however, was Hannah Jenkins who smashed her own course record. She broke the course record last year but went even further in this year's event by playing five shots below par. |

 | Tenby & Ashburnham’s’ annual ladies match | | 10:30am Thu 26 Jun 08 | | For the last 26 years the ladies from Tenby and Ashburnham Golf Clubs hold an annual foursomes competition and in all those years it has only had to be cancelled (due to rain) twice. The event was the brainchild of both Mary Rowell (Tenby) and the late Ann Lewis from Ashburnham and it is an occasion that both clubs look forward to as it cements the wonderful friendships that have been formed over the years. |
